What an incredible response from our congregation! The Missions Team is grateful to everyone who supported our recent fundraiser for the UMC Solidarity Fund. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to raise $1,092.46 to support immigrant families facing difficult and uncertain circumstances.
The Solidarity Fund was established by the Desert Southwest Conference as a tangible response to the growing hardships faced by immigrant families. Its purpose is to help local United Methodist churches provide care and support to families affected by detention, deportation, or loss of income.
Gifts to the fund provide immediate, practical assistance through trusted United Methodist churches already serving families in their communities. Support may help with essential needs such as rent, food, utilities, mental health care, and legal support.
This is more than a one-time response. The Solidarity Fund represents a long-term commitment to helping congregations welcome, accompany, and care for asylum seekers, refugees, and immigrant families in their communities.
Every dollar we contributed helps turn compassion into concrete action. Every gift is a reminder that immigrant families are not alone.
Thank you for being a congregation that responds with generosity, compassion, and love. We are grateful for everyone who gave, helped with the fundraiser, and supported this important ministry of care.
