Created in God's Image

Over the past couple of weeks, our Youth Sunday School class has been exploring what it means to be made in the image of God. Rather than focusing only on appearance, we considered the qualities and characteristics that reflect God’s nature.

Together, the students created a list of descriptive words, such as loving, creator, supportive, all-knowing, forgiving, and faithful. They then reflected on how each quality might be seen in God—and how it can also be expressed through our own lives.

To bring their reflections to life, the students created abstract paintings inspired by these words. Through color, shape, and movement, each artwork offered a unique interpretation of what it means to reflect God’s image.
