There are so many exciting things happening here at First United Methodist Church of Gilbert!

At this week's Administrative Council meeting, we voted to continue with one Sunday worship service at 9:30 a.m. As our congregation continues to grow, we look forward to adding back a second worship service in the future. Stay tuned for more information about our children, youth, and adult Sunday School opportunities coming this fall.

Mark your calendars! In August, we celebrate 111 years of serving the Gilbert community! We have a lot of great ideas to begin this exciting new season of ministry. On Sunday, August 16, join us for our football-themed Fall Ministry Kickoff and Open House from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This is the perfect opportunity to invite friends, neighbors, and members of our community to discover that there's more here than you think!

Our campus is alive with ministry throughout the week—not just on Sundays—with programs for children, youth, adults, families, and our community. During the event, there will be tours of the Preschool, ReThink Autism Microschool, and Grace Senior Adult Day Social Club. Learn about all the support groups and programming we have on campus, plus find out how you can volunteer and plug in to any of our ministries. There will be music, food (maybe a food truck!), family fun, a scavenger hunt, and raffle prizes.

We are also celebrating an exciting milestone for Pastor Adriana, who was recently commissioned as a Deacon and now serves as our Director of Spiritual Formation. In this expanded role, she will continue leading our preschool while also providing vision and leadership for children's ministry, youth, young adults, and adult discipleship. We invite you to join us in praying for Pastor Adriana as she begins this exciting new chapter in ministry.
