There are extra snuggles, slower mornings, spontaneous adventures, and memories made over snacks that somehow become full meals. There are also sibling squabbles, abandoned routines, overflowing laundry, and the thousandth question before breakfast.
Two things can be true at the same time. You can treasure this season and also feel tired in it. You can be grateful for your children and also need five quiet minutes. You can enjoy the break without making every moment magical.
God is present in the big moments and the ordinary ones - in the pumpkin patch, the family movie, the deep breath before answering again, and the grace offered when everyone is a little overwhelmed. When school structure is missing, His steady presence remains.
My prayer is that this post reaches as the Fall Break winds down, you are blessed with precious moments. Lifting prayers of gratitude for the gifts of parents and children. Give us grace for the noise, flexibility for the unexpected, and eyes to notice the joy tucked into ordinary days. Help us release the pressure to do Fall Break perfectly. Meet us in our weariness and fill our homes with patience, laughter, and peace. As we return to school and routines, may our hearts be filled with the precious understanding that we are blessed in so many different ways.
Blessings, Pastor Adriana
