Jesus calls us to love our neighbors—not simply with our words, but through the ways we show up for one another in times of need.
When one of our own church family members was detained, many of you responded with prayers, encouragement, and care. His experience also prompted our Missions Team to ask how we could extend that same love and compassion to others facing similar circumstances. That led to our recent fundraiser for the UMC Solidarity Fund, which raised $1,092.46 to help immigrant families experiencing crisis. (Thank you, for your generous contributions!)
Now, he would like to share a personal word of thanks with our church family. We invite you to take a few moments to download and read his handwritten letter and hear, in his own words, what your prayers, love, and support meant to him.
